Terms of Service

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account (13 with verifiable parental consent in jurisdictions that allow it). You're responsible for the activity on your account and for keeping your credentials safe. Tell us promptly at security@lifeos.app if you suspect unauthorised access.

One human, one account, please. You may not create accounts by automated means, sell your account, or impersonate another person.

You keep ownership of everything you post. To operate the service, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, back up, transmit, and display your content solely to provide LifeOS to you and the people you've chosen to share it with. We do not use your content to train machine-learning models, and we do not sell or licence it to third parties.

You are responsible for what you post. Don't post anything you don't have the right to share.

Use LifeOS lawfully and kindly. The full list of what's not allowed lives in our Acceptable Use Policy and Community Guidelines, both of which form part of these Terms.

Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis until cancelled. New users get a 14-day trial of Core; we won't charge you during the trial, and we'll email you before billing starts. You can cancel any time in Settings → Plan; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

If something has gone genuinely wrong (a bug, a duplicate charge, the trial didn't end when you cancelled), email billing@lifeos.app within 30 days and we'll refund you. Outside that window we generally don't issue refunds, but reach out anyway — we're reasonable people.

We may suspend or end your account if you materially or repeatedly breach these Terms, the Acceptable Use Policy, or the Community Guidelines, or if we're required to by law. When practical we'll give you notice and a chance to fix the problem.

You may close your account at any time in Settings. Closure deletes your personal content within 30 days, except where we must retain something to comply with law (e.g. financial records).

LifeOS is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don't guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will meet your specific requirements.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose, or (b) USD 50. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

You'll defend and indemnify us against claims arising from your content or your breach of these Terms, except to the extent caused by our own fault.

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of London, England. If you live in the European Union, the United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction whose consumer-protection laws give you additional rights, nothing here removes those rights.

We may update these Terms occasionally. If a change is material we'll email you and post a notice in-app at least 14 days before it takes effect. Continued use after that date means you accept the updated Terms.
